ADA: 4638 projects in Riyadh Region worth SAR 460 billion
The High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh issued the “Follow-up Program for Riyadh Region Projects Report”, which revealed diversity of the development projects currently implemented in the region.
According to the report, the region has 4638 government, semi-government, private and charitable projects totally worth SAR 460 billion.
The report classified these projects by their source of financing as follows:
- 4169 government projects (91%)
- 213 semi-government projects
- 233 private projects
- 23 private projects
According to the report, transport sector ranked first with 1020 projects worth SAR 141 billion, followed by the public utilities sector with 944 projects valued at SAR 111 billion, then the housing and public service sector with 1263 projects valued at SAR 40 billion, then the economic development sector with 165 projects at a cost of 34 billion, then the educational sector with 781 projects valued at SAR 29 billion, and finally, the health services sector with 209 projects worth SAR 27 billion.
The “Follow-up Program for Riyadh Region Projects Report” serves as a follow-up tool of Riyadh Region projects that provides comprehensive overview of the development situation in the Region. The report also serves as a tool for Riyadh Regional Plan activation.
