The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) participated in the 26th edition of the World Energy Congress, a global gathering of government and private sector leaders, experts, NGOs, and companies, taking place from 22-25 April at Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The congress marked the first major milestone of the global energy ecosystem since the historic COP28, continuing to demonstrate the power of convening and the urgency of action as the countries are debating and preparing for a global transition to renewable energy sources.
The RCRC delegation includes representatives from King Salman Park, Green Riyadh, Sports Boulevard, and Riyadh Expo 2030. The RCRC delegation participated in various activities at the pavilion of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy.
The delegation showcased Riyadh’s transformation to a sustainable city of future and the initiatives and projects to embrace sustainability in all areas, including energy and water consumption, mobility, waste management, urban greenery, conservation of natural areas, and reduction of carbon emissions.
