The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) announced the completion of the Wadi Hanifa Urban Code and all relevant procedures in cooperation with the Riyadh Municipality and Diriyah Gate Development Authority. The new code covers Wadi Hanifah valley area, its tributaries, and the lands overlooking it.
RCRC and its partners in Riyadh Municipality and Diriyah Gate Development Authority have trained all service providers on the manuals of the Urban Code to ensure best service for the residents of the area. The Riyadh Municipality – represented by the municipalities of Diriyah and Irqah – handles the operational aspects and issuance of permits.
The Urban Code regulates the overall urban character and façades of buildings, while providing flexible options that impart a distinctive architectural identity harmonious with the area’s natural environment and a historical legacy.
Also, the RCRC has developed online application guides to help stakeholders and specialists understand the Urban Code and its requirements. For more details, please visit: https://hanifaurbancode.rcrc.gov.sa.
