The program of Eid Al-Fitr celebrations, organized by the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) in the Qasr Al-Hukm area have revived the old folk traditions through a series of activities including the “Eid Huwamah”.
The “Huwamah” activity is inspired by an old Eid tradition, where a group of children used to roam the neighbors’ homes to receive the Eidia (a gift that is usually given to by elder relatives, family friends and neighbors as part of the celebration of the two Muslim holidays, Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha).
Mirror family and carnival parades
The carnival parades and mirror family shows have brought an atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm to the activities of Eid celebrations, held at the plazas of the Qasr Al-Hukm area.
Theater performances and contests
The children’s theater at Al-Masamak Square has attracted many visitors during the official Eid Al-Fitr celebrations. The children and families have interacted with the entertainment, cultural and educational shows offered by the theater.
A mural of our brave soldiers
A mural titled “Our Brave Soldiers” painted on the Qasr Al-Hukm area has received a remarkable interaction from visitors who recorded messages of love, appreciation and gratitude to our soldiers stationed at the borders.
