Instructed by HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, chairman of the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh,
and under supervision of HE Engr. Ibrahim Al-Sultan, member of the High Commission for Development of Arriyadh and President of Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA), the High Commission has completed all preparations for the upcoming Eed Al-Fitr official celebrations and equipped Qasr Al-Hukm plazas to host the event’s religious and cultural activities throughout the first three days of Eed Al-Fitr. Qasr Al-Hakm has been organizing these festivities for more than 20 years, featuring artworks including bright paintings, illuminated squares and decorated streets.
The celebration’s program this year is comprehensive and novel, and features diverse social, recreational and cultural activities.
The High Commission formed a working group involving experts and specialists in event management to take care of all of the festivities. The festival will be permeated with holiday spirit among all citizens and residents of the city of Riyadh and visitors from within and outside the Kingdom.
Al-Masmak plaza will be the venue for the official opening celebration, which comprises a group of cultural and folkloric activities and shows including Ardah (folk Saudi dance that functions as a display of power) and a film titled (Memory of Riyadh).
Likewise, Al-’Adl Square will host a market for productive families, in addition to giant displays featuring live coverage of the celebrations at Al-Masmak Plaza.
The high Commission has also made final preparations for the celebrations hosted by Al-Bujayri neighborhood in Historical Addiriyah, for the second year in a row. Al-Bujayri Plaza has been equipped with 1260 seats to accommodate the audience following the festivities hosted by the Plaza and Al-Matwiyyah Garden, in addition to the seating areas provided by the participating restaurants and cafes.
The key activities to be hosted by the neighborhood include Al-Midhal Tent, which hosts a group of prominent singers, narrators, and poets. Also, the neighborhood will host a studio for children where the kids can practice interactive drawing, plus a number of artistic and educational workshops.
