The High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh has applied the world’s best work and housing environment standards in King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport (Metro & Buses) to accommodate the project’s workforce, including the expats, and ensure their safety.
The safeguards ensure all workers enjoy valid legal status, and receive all their legal and financial rights, as stipulated in the Kingdom’s labor law.
In this regard, the High Commission has provided the workers with all their living needs inside the project’s housing complexes, which have been built over carefully selected locations in Riyadh, and designed according to the highest international standards of integrated housing complexes. These housing complexes feature a full array of safety, comfort and security requirements, provide primary health care, and host well-furnished dormitories, service facilities, open spaces, kitchens, dining halls, multi-purpose halls, sports stadiums, in addition to management, control and security facilities.
ADA has also adopted a set of security and safety procedures at various work sites of the project, in addition to developing emergency plans, and equipping all project’s sites with safety, anti-fire, and rescue systems.
Moreover, ADA, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense, has organized workshops and prepared specialized studies to ensure the project enjoys the highest security and safety standards. For this purpose, a number of precautionary measures have been taken, and a joint liaison center with the competent authorities has been established to avoid and handle any risks at the project sites.
ADA’s efforts have resulted in improved performance and better commitment across the project.
