Population Study of Riyadh City (1437H)

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City conducted a series of population studies during the past decades, starting in 1407H, and these studies continued in 1411H, then in 1417H, and then in 1425H. In 1437H, the fifth study was conducted. This study comes within the framework of the commission’s strategy to prepare integrated databases to guide them in building objectives and setting the necessary indicators for the implementation and evaluation of strategic planning mechanisms. These studies are classified among the basic inputs that help decision-makers and planners in adopting effective programs, preparing plans, formulating policies, and making decisions that enable monitoring the reality of Riyadh city, extrapolating the future in its different directions, and achieving the set goals. The study provides integrated data addressing demographic, socio-economic, transport, journey, housing, and internal migration aspects in the capital.
