Instructed by HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz, chairman of the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh (HCDR), HRH Prince Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Abdul Aziz, Vice-Chairman of HCDR, and under supervision of HE Engr. Ibrahim bin Mohammad Al-Sultan, member of the High Commission for Development of Arriyadh and President of Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA), the High Commission has completed all preparations for the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr official celebrations and equipped Qasr Al-Hukm plazas to host the event’s activities throughout the first three days of Eid Al-Fitr.
The celebration’s program this year is comprehensive, and features diverse social, recreational and cultural activities that would please all residents and visitors of the capital.
Al-Adl Square will be the venue for the official opening celebration, which comprises a selection of folkloric activities and shows including Ardah (folk Saudi dance that functions as a display of power).
Likewise, Al-Masmak plaza will host giant displays featuring entertaining programs for kids, in addition to light shows on Al-Masmak walls.
The live shows, productive families’ booths, food trucks and mobile cafes will also bring carnival atmosphere to Al-Thumairi Street.
