Qasr Al-Hukm area will host the official metropolitan celebrations of Eid Al-Fitr (1439H), organized by the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) this year under the theme of “Riyadh Celebrates the Eid”.
According to head of Urban Development Department in the Arriyadh Development Authority, Engr. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Rukban, the festivities of Eid Al-Fitr at Qasr Al-Hukm area, enjoy generous support from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz, Riyadh Governor, and HRH Prince Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Vice-Governor of Riyadh Province.
Eng. Al-Rukban pointed out that the celebration’s program this year is comprehensive, and reflects the diverse social, recreational and cultural aspects of Riyadh Province.
Al-Rukban also confirmed that the Saudi ‘Adrah and folkloric performances will be present alongside the visual and sound effects to delight the audience.
According to Al-Rukban, the live shows, productive families’ kiosks, food trucks and mobile cafes will also bring carnival atmosphere to Al-Thumairi Street (Al-Thumairi Avenue) during the celebrations.
Al-Rukban referred that Al-Adl Square and Al-Masmak Plaza will host children’s theaters offering a wide variety of entertaining programs, contests and a play titled “Forest of Colors”.
Giant displays for Riyadh World Cup fans
The Arriyadh Development Authority plans to set up giant 24-m2 screens at the eastern plaza of Al-Masamak Fortress, where the Riyadh World Cup fans can watch the 2018 World Cup matches.
