On February 13, 2019, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud patronized the inauguration ceremony of Riyadh development projects.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of the Ministers and Minister of Defense.
Upon the arrival of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at Qasr Al-Hukm’s headquarters, he was received by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region; Prince Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh region and Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior.
The King was accompanied by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Agency and Prince Rakan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Then, the Royal anthem was played.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was briefed on “Salman and Riyadh” Exhibition which was held at Qasr Al-Hukm’s lobby on this occasion and included a collection of pictures and photos that dealt with the biography and the march of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques when he has served as the Governor of the Riyadh region for around 48 years.
After the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud took his place in the main podium, the ceremony was started by reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region, delivered a speech on the occasion.
In the speech, the Governor of Riyadh Region said that the development projects are one thousand, two hundred and eighty-one projects exceeding a total cost of eighty-two billion riyals covering all development sectors in Riyadh region.
Then, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 1281 projects with a total cost of SR82 billion covering all development sectors in the Riyadh region.
Afterwards, a Saudi traditional dance, “the Saudi A’rdhah,” was performed. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud participated in it.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques graced the dinner party held on this occasion which was attended by a number of princes and officials.
