Qasr Al-Hukm District and Al-Bujayri Neighborhood will host Eed Al-Fitr festivities in the city of Riyadh.
According to head of Urban Development Department in the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh, Engr. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Rukban, festivities of Eed Al-Fitr (1437H), organized by the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh in «Qasr Al-Hukm District» and «Al-Bujayri Neighborhood», enjoy the generous support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HRH Crown Prince, HRH Deputy Crown Prince, and HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh.
Engr. Al-Rukban also referred that the High Commission for Development of Arriyadh has completed all preparations for the upcoming Eed Al-Fitr official celebrations and equipped Qasr Al-Hukm plazas to host the event’s religious and cultural activities throughout the first three days of Eed Al-Fitr. Qasr Al-Hukm has been organizing these festivities for more than 20 years, featuring artworks including bright paintings, illuminated squares, and decorated streets.
The celebration’s program this year is comprehensive and novel, and features diverse social, recreational, and cultural activities.
The High Commission formed a working group involving experts and specialists in event management to take care of all of the festivities. The festival will be permeated with holiday spirit among all citizens and residents of the city of Riyadh and visitors from within and outside the Kingdom.
Engr. Al-Rukban said that Al-Masmak Fortress plaza, in Qasr All-Hukm district, is going to witness the inauguration of Eed Al-Fitr official celebrations by HRH Governor of Riyadh, with the participation of the city’s residents.
Al-Masmak plaza will be the venue for the official opening celebration, which comprises a group of cultural and folkloric activities and shows including Ardah (folk Saudi dance that functions as a display of power) and a film titled (Memory of Riyadh).
Likewise, Al-Adl Square will host a market for productive families, in addition to giant displays featuring live coverage of the celebrations at Al-Masmak Plaza.
Al-Rukban added that during days of Eed Al-Fitr, plazas and parks of Al-Bujayri neighborhood in Historical Addiriyah are going to host exciting events including Children’s Theater, which offers entertaining and educational activities under supervision of a specialist team.
Children’s Theatre will be staged in Al-Matwiyyah Park located at the junction of Imam Abdul Aziz ibn Muhammad bin Saud Street and Imam Muhammad bin Saud Street.

He also explained that the high Commission has also made final preparations for the celebrations hosted by Al-Bujayri neighborhood in Historical Addiriyah, for the second year in a row. Al-Bujayri Plaza has been equipped with 1260 seats to accommodate the audience following the festivities hosted by the Plaza and Al-Matwiyyah Garden, in addition to the seating areas provided by the participating restaurants and cafes.
The key activities to be hosted by Al-Bujayri neighborhood include Al-Midhal Tent, which hosts a group of prominent singers, narrators, and poets.

Engr. Al-Rukban concluded by referring that the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh has provided some tools to facilitate access to locations of Eed Al-Fitr festivities, organized ADA, at plazas of Qasr Al-Hukm and Al-Bujayri neighborhood.
ADA will provide a free bus service at the festivities locations to transport visitors from the 2000-car parking area to locations of the festivities in Al-Bujayri neighborhood and vice versa.
ADA has also agreed with smart transport service providers, like Careem, to offer diverse transport alternatives for the city residents and visitors during the Eed days. Careem is going to offer a 50% discount for rides from and to the festivities locations.
Also, Delilat Arriyadh app, which was launched by the High Commission as part of the Traffic Diversions Management Plan – of King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport (Metro & Buses) – to spread the culture of pre-trip planning, and ease the traffic flow in the vicinity of the giant project’s work locations, is a good way to plan trips to Eed Al-Fitr festivities locations.
