King Abdullah Road and King Khalid Road intersection
RCRC completed a comprehensive development concept for the King Abdullah Road intersection with King Khalid Road project that achieves smooth traffic flow in all directions and takes into consideration urban, aesthetic, and environmental aspects. The project achieves the integration of the intersection with its surroundings and creates a distinctive city landmark.

Free intersection
on three levels
The intersection of King Abdullah Road with King Khalid Road was constructed on three stacked levels, through the implementation of four bridges within the intersection with a length of 1.5km, in addition to four bridges that contribute to liberating transit traffic at the intersection, allowing for detours in all directions without the need for traffic lights.
The project also includes the construction of 3 three lanes for the main road, and several lanes for service roads in both directions, with an increase in their number at intersections, entrances and exits, in addition to the construction of networks for public services such as electricity, water, flood drainage, lighting, monitoring and control systems, and a guidance system, as well as agricultural, paving and landscaping works.
Aesthetic focus
The project includes 27 giant art formations made of steel, the diameter of one of which ranges between 5 and 9 meters, with a weight of up to 18 tons and a height of 25 meters, allowing it to be seen from a distance along King Abdullah and King Khalid Roads.
These aesthetic formations were designed according to a modern abstract geometric design inspired by the environment of Wadi Hanifa near the intersection area. Construction specifications for the artworks account for wind and climatic conditions.
