The beginnings of geological studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dating back to the early fifties of the twentieth century and were mostly focused on scattered geological research topics. This study mainly aims to provide a detailed explanation of the geological maps prepared by the researcher for the Riyadh region, which were based on geoinformatics, geomatics, and space technologies.

The general objectives of this study are summarized as follows:

1. Preparation of the digital geological map.
2. Preparation of a map of digital lithological units.
3. Preparation of a map of digital longitudinal divisions (faults).
4. Classification and arrangement of various geological information and data.
5. Provide various geological arithmetic and statistical data.
