Diplomatic Quarter District Maps

8 May, 2023

The idea of establishing the Diplomatic Quarter came to light after the Cabinet of Ministers Decision No. 1650 of 21/11/1395 AH to relocate the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions from Jeddah to Riyadh; to complement its main functions as the nation’s capital.

The Diplomatic Quarter is located northwest of Riyadh on a land area of 8km2 and forms a link in the capital’s urban growth chain. It has a capacity of approximately 25,000 people and more than 120 diplomatic missions, as well as some regional and international organizations and bodies.

This atlas reviews maps and photographs of the Diplomatic Quarter showing the location of regional organizations’ headquarters, diplomatic missions, educational, recreational, cultural, and service facilities, parks, and public squares in the district.
