Geomorphological Characteristics of Water Basins and Aqueducts in the Riyadh Province

The report deals with the water valleys in the Riyadh region, which is one of its most important economic, tourist, and environmental components, as most of them are filled with rainwater that runs between different geographical areas, and a large part of that water remains for a long time above the ground, forming lakes and large water bodies.
This report includes maps of water systems in the Riyadh region produced based on geoinformatics and geomechanically systems and with the help of space technologies. These maps reveal the presence of 30 large water basins, 13 of which are located almost entirely within the boundaries of the Riyadh region while the rest share with neighboring regions.
The report also clarifies the objectives, means, stages, and results of the study, as well as highlights the different characteristics, dimensions, and main measures of the basins documented by the study.
